Our Services

We represent and give legal advice to clients in civil (non-criminal) matters which are of special importance to low income individuals and families. We give priority to services which cannot be provided by federally funded legal services programs because of statutory and/or regulatory restrictions. The following are some of our areas of specialization:

  • Services for Latino Residents: Civil (non-criminal) legal services to low income Latino residents. Services are not subject to federal restrictions.
  • Services for the Incarcerated: Civil (non-criminal) legal services to incarcerated residents. Services are not subject to federal restrictions.
  • Housing Preservation: Landlord-tenant disputes, mortgage foreclosures, access to public or subsidized housing and homelessness.
  • Income Security: Unemployment compensation, welfare benefits, consumer bankruptcy and social security benefits.

  • Consumer Protection: Deception or fraud directed at consumers.

  • Civil Rights and Civil Liberties: Discrimination for any reason prohibited by law and violation of constitutionally protected rights of free speech.
  • Immigration: Immigration benefits to which you may be entitled under law and representation in certain deportation proceedings.
