Detention Information

We provide free legal services in civil matters to low-income individuals.  If your detained loved one is in need of our assistance, they are welcome to apply.  Please keep in mind that unfortunately we are not able to help everyone in need, although we wish we could.  Please follow the instructions below for seeking our help for your loved one.
For persons in immigration detention
Did your loved one live in one of the following Pennsylvania counties before they were detained?
If yes, we can potentially help with their immigration case.  Please ask your loved one to call us at 717-262-2326 between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). We will ask them questions to see if we can help.  If you have any questions or concerns about our services or how we will handle the call from your loved one, please call us.
For persons detained at the Franklin County Jail in Chambersburg, PA
If your loved one has a civil legal problem and is detained at the Franklin County Jail,  please ask them to sign up to see the "Contract Attorney".  We visit the Franklin County Jail regularly and will visit them if they sign up.  Please note that we do NOT handle criminal matters and so they should NOT sign up to see us about their criminal case.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 717-262-2326.
